2012-02-09 NC Aquaculture Farm Tour and Development Conference
We attended to learn about aquaculture opportunities for our farm and to see what others were doing. Because farming is not our only business, we also were interested in evaluating the need for engineering services in the aquaculture community. Our engineering business, Eddy Engineering, PC, provides dam engineering services. While most aquaculture dams would be exempt from the NC Dam Safety Law, notification of intent to construct and other permits may be required. Eddy Engineering, PC, has a long history of assisting individual dam owners with construction of new dams, repair of existing dams, and other services. We have evaluated and recommended repairs to hog waste lagoons, dairy waste lagoons, and layer waste ponds.

2010-09-18 Jones County Heritage Festivale-Farm, LLC, will be at the Jones County Heritage Festival again this year! We will have some minis/ponies on hand for petting, one of our driving minis, and a few chickens. You'd be surprised at how many people have never touched a bird.
We will be returning to the New Bern Farmer's Market on September 25th. We hope to have some bean and alfalfa sprouts, okra, peppers, and maybe a few leeks for sale. We will try to have some fresh rosemary and bay leaves, too.
